Wellness Resources

At Sacred Circle we believe in the importance of balance across all areas of life. Our wellness approach focuses on five interconnected aspects of wellbeing. These are mental, emotional, physical, spiritual, and cultural health. When all five are in balance we can live our best lives.

Mental Wellness

Mental health is just as important as physical health. We encourage our community members to seek support when needed. This can include talking with elders, counseling services, or connecting with others who understand your experiences. Remember that asking for help is a sign of strength.

Emotional Wellness

Our emotions are a natural part of being human. We all feel joy, sadness, anger, and fear at different times. The key is learning to understand and process these feelings in healthy ways. Sharing with trusted friends and family can help lighten the load. Our gatherings provide safe spaces for emotional expression and support.

Physical Wellness

Taking care of our bodies is essential. This means eating well, staying active, getting enough rest, and visiting healthcare providers when needed. For Deaf individuals this can sometimes mean finding accessible healthcare. We work to connect our members with resources that meet their needs.

Spiritual Wellness

Spirituality looks different for everyone. For many of our members it involves connecting with traditional Native practices, ceremonies, and beliefs. Others find meaning through prayer, meditation, or time in nature. Whatever path you follow we respect and honor your spiritual journey.

Cultural Wellness

Our culture is central to who we are. Learning about our traditions, languages, and histories helps us stay connected to our roots. This connection gives us strength and identity. Sacred Circle works to preserve and share Native culture within the Deaf community.
